X5R的传感器据称是来自SONY的IMX159，与Panasonic GH4采用了相同的成像核心。下图分别是X5R的传感器板与Panasonic的GH4拆解传感器板，从封装方式以及传感器边缘的金线位置可以看出两块传感器的一致性。
IMX159这颗传感器的综合打分甚至超过了Canon EOS 750D的APS-C传感器，主要表现在色彩和动态范围这两项指标。而ISO指标看，IMX159的低光性能超出SONY神机RX100M4越2/3档，但比装备APS-C传感器的Canon EOS 750D的差1/3档。值得一提的是，大疆官方称X5R具有12.8档动态范围，和DxOMark的评测一致。
奥林巴斯E-M1，松下GH4。这两款相机与DJI X5的CMOS影像传感器的技术参数几乎是一样的。奥林巴斯E-M1采用了松下提供的MN34230 CMOS，而松下GH4采用的CMOS是索尼imx159。（没错，奥巴相机用松下传感器、松下相机用索尼传感器，是不是绕得有点儿晕？）

此模块无法直接使用，只能拆机利用IMX159AQE-C.
The DJI X5R's sensor is said to be from Sony's IMX159, which uses the same imaging core as the Panasonic GH4.The following figure shows the sensor plate of X5R and the disassembled sensor plate of GH4 of Panasonic respectively. The consistency of the two sensors can be seen from the packaging method and the position of the gold line on the edge of the sensor.
The IMX159 sensor outperformed the Canon EOS 750D APS-C sensor in terms of color and dynamic range.According to ISO, the IMX159's low-light performance is 2/3 of a notch better than the Sony RX100M4, but 1/3 worse than the Canon EOS 750D equipped with APS-C sensors.It's worth noting that DJI says the X5R has a 12.8 range, which is in line with the DXomark rating.
Olympus E-M1 and Panasonic GH4, Both cameras have nearly the same technical specifications as the DJI X5's CMOS image sensor.The Olympus E-M1 uses Panasonic's MN34230 CMOS sensor, while the Panasonic GH4 uses Sony's IMX159 CMOS.(Yes, the Panasonic sensor on the Olympus camera and the Sony sensor on the Panasonic camera are a little confusing, aren't they?)
